Where a plug top is damaged or no longer suitable for continued use, we can remove the faulty plug and replace it with a suitable Australian-approved 3-pin plug top, helping return the equipment to safe working condition.
 

When Should a Plug Top be Replaced?

A plug top may require replacement if it has:

• Cracks, splits or other physical damage

• Loose or damaged pins

• Signs of overheating or burning

• Damaged cable entry or strain relief

• Exposed or damaged wiring

• A loose connection inside the plug

• Signs of excessive wear or deterioration

We assess the plug, cable, strain relief and equipment for visible damage or deterioration.

2. Remove
The damaged or unsuitable 3-pin plug top is safely removed.

3. Replace
A suitable compliant 3-pin plug top is fitted correctly to the equipment.

4. Test
The equipment can then be electrically tested as required to verify its condition following the repair.

5. Tag & Record
Where included as part of a Test & Tag service, the equipment can be tagged and recorded in your compliance register.
